‘Make your decisions based on your values and what you think is right’—this is my directive. For decision-making exercises, I write about fictional characters and people I meet who have strong moral codes; I write about how they make difficult decisions under pressure, so that when I face my own challenges, I am already practiced. This is why I do what I do, and I absolutely love it.
I grew up and went to college in Virginia, USA where I decided to commit myself to service. Today, I work as a professional humanitarian aid worker and abide by the principles of humanity, impartiality, and neutrality. The things I produce will vary from writing, climbing, video editing, photographing, and economic projects. But they all have one thing in common: active decision-making, where gut instincts struggle against reason. Which do you think will win?
