An interesting comparison:

I made a video about this man’s story regarding a lender who puts pressure on him. His conclusion was to continue working with La Ceiba MFI – the institution I work for – instead of going to other banks. I sent the video to the student body at the university responsible for keeping us ethically in line. They watched the following version:

The responded by saying that although the message was sound, I made the man out to be small and helpless in the video. They didn’t like how he was centered low in the last shot and they preferred not to evoke pity and instead show strength. I took this verdict to the family themselves and they didn’t quite see it as such, but they did want me to remove the quote about lacking food.
